Grow out tank advice

Hi I have been looking for information on grow out set up but I couldn't find much. Maybe I didn't look back far enough, or the wrong spot. What I want to know is what size tanks people use and what kind of filtration system people use. I have a spare eheim canister and a four foot tank I can use. Any advice would be appreciated. That should be perfect size for them once they leave the parents
