My Discus have spawned!

hi guys, last night i observed my discus spawning, i just have a couple of questions i would like to ask and hopefully you guys can help me.

1.) should feeding and water changes be stopped or reduced during any stages?

2.) im scared to turn off the light, should there be a dim light under the tank?

Hi John,

Are your Discus in their own tank?

It's very important to have the water as clean as possible but at the same time you don't want to be disturbing them too much. Whatever you do around them at this time you need to do quietly and slowly.

I fed my breeders twice a day but if you have a stand alone tank you need to minimize the waste to keep the water in good shape.

Hi MAC, thanks for the reply. yes they are on their own in a 3x2x2, they bred 5 times in the 5 weeks ive had them but they keep eating their eggs :(
lately they have been off their food, they haven't eaten for 5 days and im getting worried.
