Establishing Plants

Hi All,
I'm having trouble establishing my new stem plants and getting the roots to grow out.
I'm using all the sea chem products and I have adequate lighting (1.7WPG-90watt for 200ltrs/55gallon) and I'm using sea chem fertilizer tablets, but my stems in my medium gravel rot and then float to the top. My chainswords are doing very well, by the way. Any ideas?

float the plants in the tank for a week, they will send out rots into the water cloumn, once you can see good roots plant them.
