Hi Folks,

It's my 1st sucessful isolated breeding pair in a 2ft tank.

1. Do you have such experiences? parents with fry still breeding with their fry beside them? frys are ony about 1 week after free swim.

2. Any suggestions? Due to space limitation, i am leaving the frys with them for now. hopefully they dont get eaten up by the parents. Also, not sure if the new batch of frys will be eaten up by the existing batch of frys.

Currently around 20+ fry with the parents with the new batch of eggs just laid last nite.

any comments or suggestions are welcome.

the parents will eat the older fry, when this happens your best bet is to remove the eggs, that way the parents will keep raising the existing fry.

You will run out of space very soon too if you are raising fry.........I think Santa will need to bring you a bigger tank. :)

lol....... my rose reds just done this today.
i pulled the new batch and put them in a small tank with some meth blue and an airstone..... might try artificially raising them.
