well the queenslanders on this forum will know that flouride will be added to our water in next month.....how will this effect our fishies? does anyone know. will i now have to use a product like prime even though i use r/o water or can i just keep on going as i am now.... i'm sure there are quite a few people up this way with the same questions.... any advice would be appreciated

Hi Ross,

I live in the Latrobe Valley, South East Victoria. Our water is the same as Melbourne water. But we did not have flouride in our water until approximately three years ago. I have been keeping Discus fish for 18 years. I noticed no problems with the fish since the introduction of flouride. I use Prime in my water, not RO water. But I do not use Prime for the flouride.

Your fish will be fine with the introduction of flouride.

so they will be fine even without adding prime after it's introduced, thats a relief. i didn't wanna have to start forking out for that stuff.
