I am thinking that I want to get a large tree trunks roots in my tank, looking like a mangrove roots. I have seen some fake plastic like roots that actually looks ok but I don't think that it will look that realistic in a tank , if someone has one in there tank please tell me if it looks good and real, So I was thinking of getting large piece(s) of bogwood or grapevine. What does anyone think, would this work and does anyone have any better suggestions to make this possible?

All driftwood looks great in discus tanks, twiggy bits, tree stumps, branches. It's all good.

The real stuff will have a softening effect on your tank water too, so stay clear of the fake wood.
