Temp in Tank rising on warmer days???

hi,
my current discus tank normally sits around 29-30 degrees and its starting to warm up here in horsham. My problem is that the temp is at 32.4 on these warmer days is this going to be a problem, i havent had the air conditioner going yet and most of the time in summer its on anyway.Can the water get too hot for discus???. Any thoughts would be apprecieted. Cheers Axl

Your discus won't mind the temp going up for a few hours, but keep in mind that the higher the temp, the less oxygen in the water, and discus need lots of oxygen.

Adding extra airstones to the tank will help with the oxygen problem, and you can fill soft drink bottles with water, cap them and freeze solid then drop them into the tank on the hottest part of the day to keep the temp down. Keep several spare bottles in the freezer so you can rotate them as they start to thaw.
