Hi all,

I've just done a waterchange in my tank and noticed one of my yoyo loaches acting odd. It's flicking itself into the sand and goes to the surface for air although I have an air stone in the water. It also swims in an erratic manner. The other yoyo loach has something red hanging from it's anus which I think might be a worm. I've just done a bit of research and all the symptoms sound like flukes. Can anyone else confirm this before I go and buy medication?

Sorry, I've just realized this should be in the Illness and Medications section.

Well, he's not scratching anymore, must have just got something caught in his gills.

Something red hanging from the anus is a bit of a warning sign.

I think your fish may be suffering from worms, so time to get the levamisole out and treat the tank.

Could have just been red poo, I do feed them bright red colour bits.
