Some big changes been happening in my ADA tank. I decided the Didiplis diandra and Pogo stellatus isn’t up to my expectations in terms of the shade of redness and decided to pull out every strand of it in the tank. Gave it to a lucky member of the forums :) And decided to source out some bright red plants. Had a couple to choose from...Ammannia gracilis, Alternanthera reineckii 'rosaefolia', Cabomba palaeformis, Hygrophila sp. 'Red', Limnophila aromatica and Rotala macrandra. Had some troubles finding most of these plants and decided to go with the Ammannia gracilis.

The Ammannia gracilis has been in the Aquarium hobby in Australia for along time now, but it seems to be rare to come by in Aquariums. There is also little information of this plant on the internet while trying to research on it. But I was lucky enough to be given one stem to try. I noticed it growing very well, and very bright red in my aquarium. The way I like it! Its decided, Ammannia gracilis it is. Now to find a bunch of it. Didn't know it was that hard to find it! I even offered up to $12 a stem! I was really despite to get my hand on a couple more stems. Again no luck! Lucky enough, I called up my LFS and they happened to just finished trimming their display tank and had a bunch for sale for $15! Bargain! Told them to save for me and took a sickie from work and drive 2 hours to get hold of the plants! At last! The plants I'm after!

Now I have about 8 stems in total and growing very well! I have also added 5 stems of Tonia from Noddy. Very healthy specimens and suits wells in my tank, now I just need some plants under my crinum to finish off the plants. This I will need your help for some suggestions.

Also, with the lack of inhabitants in my tank, I was wondering can CRS and Ottos as the main algae crew be enough?

Anyways here are the updated photos of my tank.

Taken with a Canon Digital IXUS 75 with manual settings and no colour enhancement.
