Hi All,


Can someone help me out please....


I want to add Formaldehyde to my 600ltr discus fish tank to treat them for Gill Flukes. (I dont just want to give them a quick bath)

Can someoe please tell me how much mls i need to use?

How long after do i do a water change?

How big of a water change should i do?

And when should i repeat the Formaldehyde treatment?

Hi there,

If you use Formulin be very careful with it ok


Use only 3ml per 100ltrs of water for normal treating of fish
Use 5ml per 100ltrs when u have sick fish

Please make sure you dont get it on ur hands etc
Make sure you have lots of aeration whilst this is in ur system too
You shouldnt need a water change for atleast 48hrs and there should b some sort of difference by then

There should be no more need to dose again

Formalin is a known probable human carcinogen (causes Cancer) use gloves and in a well ventilated area.
