Light opinion

Hi

I am looking to set up a plant tank size around 80cm x 45cm x 50cm.
However i am still not sure about what sort of light unit i should use.

T5 or Metal Halide ??

What plants are you thinking of using?

My choice would be T5 for that size tank.

Metal halide will heat up a small volume of water, so you'll need to hang the light well away from the water surface.

Hi i am looking to have Xmas Moss, HC, Amazon Sword and some others haven't figure out yet . . .

if i am looking to get a Metal Halide which do come with 2 or 4 T5 in it. . . will it be ok to hand the unit about 20cm above water
