hehe sorry discusfantasy, you asked a question and got respond by a question and a negative answer.
not sure how long u've been keeping discus for, but for newbie like me I'll just age water for 24-48 hours to stable pH not neccessarily lower it.

my tank is 6.6 & my aged water is 7.4...arnt i ment to make my aged water ph close to the tank ph so my discus dont freak out?

You can use a product like Sechem Discus buffer to the aged water to bring the pH of your aged water down to a similar level as the tank water. The difference in pH doesn't always create a big swing though - if the tank water is well buffered the added water wont change the pH much anyway - you're better off measuring the pH of the tank water before and after the water change rather than the new and old water
