Hi :D

Am smitten with discus and have been emptying malawi tanks the last few weeks :D

Though id share a few pics of some new ones ive got (am up to 20 now !)

Having been reading all i can lay my hands on and found that this first one was labeled a white butterfly but with the body pattern it doesnt look like it to me.Also only noticed the parrot beak when i got it home but am not bothered atm as im just in a growout stage not breeding yet !

Now this yellow one to my untrained eye looks much better in quality and body shape but have no idea what strain it is/was ect !

Finally a young red malboro.

They are settling down now and are much more relaxed now and am feeding them bloodworms,Mals freezedried blackworms and am going to have a go at a home made food wednesday night !

Cheers :D

Well done Craig. Good selection of fish you've got there.

First one is an interesting colour. Nice high dorsal and small eye. In years gone by I would have called it a Blue Ghost, but today .................. it's probably called something more exotic.

Possibly a blue diamond crossed with something (note the lack of stress bars).

Second one, hmmm no idea really. It's only a young fish, and I think the colour is still to develop. If you want to bring out the yellow, don't feed any red colour enhancing foods, particularly stay away from tetra color bits. A home made beef heart mix and the freeze dried blackworms will be your safest choice.

Nice little Marlboro Red. Good intense colour for such a young fish.

Thanks Merrilyn :D

Am gonna use your recipe on wednesday night as i have 2 fresh beef heart from the butcher coming wednesday that my wife is picking up for me and she said i can use her blender ( she`s brave !! )

Whats your opinion on the white/blue with the parrot beak, is that bad or can it be bred out or will it only be a display fish ?

Just got a couple of more pics of some others just now too !

My young leopard.

The more I look at the little white fish, the more intrigued I am by his colour.

Hard to say what he'll grow into. He's still a young fish, and I wouldn't be making any decisions just yet.

You've got a great start to your discus collection :P
