Hi All:

How to distinguish between a Blue Turq and Red Turq...
What are the salient features to look for?

I have two red turqs at home which I really like, and am too curious what the actual difference between the red and blue turqs are.

blue turqs are blue. red turqs have the same blue with red inbetween

my avartar is a red turq :wink:

i agree def both red turq's, it can be hard sometimes to tell the diff, but you can definitely tell the difference when you see them close together

the one in the left of your posted pics is sub-dominant or simply the same sex but both yeah def red turqs,

nice fish though i must say (still one of my all time fav's the red turq)

Here's one theory...Not sure if it's right...

Blue Turqs have Blue Base (Body Color) and Red Markings (Lines)
while
Red Turqs have Red Base and Blue Markings...

Is this acceptable... :? :?:

your first pic is of a blue colbalt, not a red turq

i think your second pic is of a blue turq the others look like reds, hard to tell with the size of the image

the next two could be either
