Granite Stone - Does it effect pH

Hi, wondering if anyone can tell me if granite will effect pH in any way?

ignious rocks (basalt granite slate) are usually free of carbonates (carbonates being water soluble, no water in lava) and shouldn't effect pH, but test with some HCL just to be sure.
