Hey guys i am using some tetracliyne on a sick discus of mine in a small hospital tank. I have had the tablet in the tank now for almost 24hours and it still hasnt completely dissolved. Is this right? Also how long would it take for the medication to take affect?

Is this a medication not normally used for discus?

crush it, dissolve it in a bit of water , then put it in your tank.

A lot of tablets have 'filler' in them which never totally dissolves.

However, samir's right. You should crush the tablet and mix it to a paste before adding to the tank.

As with antibiotics in humans, there are no miracle cures. Expect it to take a few days before your fish shows some improvement.
