It's Eheim 2229 professionel Wet/Dry Canister filter..it only pump out 1050 l/h...and have filter volume of 7.3l..
there is a extra tube to feed air into canister..the water level inside the canister goes up and down..so lots of O2 inside the canister..and can greatly improve bio activity..
Eheim claim Decomposition of ammonium - 73% faster, nitrite - -67% faster.

it would be a good idea to get another canister since you stocked your tank quite heavily with 12 discus.(how much water changes do you do a wk to keep it clean?)Rule of thumb is 10g per adult fish and for a tank of your size 5-6 max would be ideal, then again , horses for courses...right?. it's just that u'd need to put it more effort in maintainance, since no amount of filter can get rid of all the crap.

As for the water flow, if u put in a spray it'll be no probs mate!

thx chris_d...I will find room for my 2nd canister..i am currently doing 2 water change a week..but it seems not enough...but since fish looks healthy and happy..i will just leave it as it is for the time been..except the 2nd canister

and kev....4 ft is already very luxury for me..as I had a 80 ltr tank with 6 discus before...and took me more than half year to beg my wife to let me have a larger tank...my mife promise me that I can have a huge tank...if I buy a new huge house...but i think it will tank me few years..thanks by the way..
