Hi all
I havent been on the forums for about 2 years but i am back here as this is 1 way that my gf will get into fish more as she loves discus fish. I keep tanganyikan and malawi cichlids and slowely i have caught the disucs bug and now i am hooked.
I am looking at all these different varietys and there are so many beautifull colours but am not sure what to start out with. I like red discus along with a few of the other variants.
I am located in sydney and would be interested in purchasing some fish in the next couple of weeks as i have my tanks which have just been setup.
Is there a breeder or is there a lfs which stocks discus.
I dont really know how i can tell a good from a bad discus but i am guessing it has to be as round as possible in the body.
Any help would be great as i am so knew to this that i am afraid that when i purchase my fish i will make a mistake.
