Does anyone know what size the hoses are on the Eheim 2260 filter?

Thanks,
Dave.

I think the intake to the cannister is 1/2'' (12mm) and the outlet is 3/4" (19mm)

I just found the price of the taps. I nearly fell to the floor. They are not cheap. Does anyone know of any cheaper alternatives?

Dave.

Davo you can DIY then for around $30 a tap, you'll need a union of 25mm in diameter, 2 ball taps, a couple of pvc iron adapters, and 2 barbed connecters with a BSB thread on them, the 1st 3 items are all in the plumbing section of bunnings the barbed connecters are in the irrigation section.

Why do you think they are better value? Has anyone ever done a comparison/review between both filters?

Dave.

I can tell you that a 2080 is as efficient as a 2260 biologicaly but not mechanicaly.
