Hi there,

I have an adult discus who looks fine and eats fine. however i've noticed on one side of his gills hes always breathing heavily and there is a clearish piece of skin or somthing that flaps up and down along his gills when he breathes.

is it a fluke? should it be treated?

regards,

Chris

I certainly sounds like flukes mate. There have been a few recent threads on this. The sooner you treat your fish with Prazi the better he'll recover as they seem to loose their appetite quickly.

Goodluck with treatments Chris and let us know how your fish goes.

oooh k thanks. he seems to have been doin that for a week now, hes perfectly fine wouldnt notice anythings wrong with him. swims normally and is very active

just wondering wat that 'skin' like thing is on the side of his gills, it doesnt look like a fluke, just looks liek some extra skin hanging off
