The LFS guys told me that there are 2 advantages and outcomes in feeding brine shrimps to Discus... ONE It creates better resistance to diseases TWO it improves the colors noticeably.. TRUE ? :roll: Experienced Discus keepers.. what does your experience says ?

Really, so colors are real from feeding brine shrimp.. I used to know that a flamingo's pink or reddish feather color comes from its diet, which is high in alpha and beta-carotene. People eat beta-carotene when they eat carrots...

i think they colour up because the food is life. Life worm do the same trick i reckon

brine shrimp is rich in caratonoids, which enhance colour, you'll get the same result from feeding freezedried brine shrimp.

as for disease resistance... if you gut load them with spirolina or some other vitamin rich food this will give a boost to the immune system of the fish.
