can some one explain to me why this is so expensive?

A confirmed pair can generally sell for more (obvious reasons) and Albino's can be an expensive strain. Members are just putting in their thoughts about the price being too high based on the fish etc.

I think they're a pretty new strain, from what i've heard juveniles argd's are sold around $250. new strain, rarity etc. is probably why they're expensive. these are semi adults so i guess that's why they cost so much more.
maybe shaun can explain why he thinks 950 is adequate for those fish.

If it's me i'd never buy one, even if they'd be $50 each, i'm not caught up in the whole new albino strain hype :)

Sometimes you see a new strain that's expensive but then you look at a classic like a turq, cobalt or ss and you realise the classics look much better and are 5 times cheaper. go the classics :)

Hi Highly agree Zar. Classics are the greatest. I have seen some really nice albino's here though. Cross breed albino which has little light colours mixed with the white which i want to get one of. But full blown albino's can look sick (unhealthy) to me. Its personal preference. Some people dig them and i can appreciate that - but personally im with you.

Shane, they are nice fish though. dont want to hi-jack your thread. Good luck with the sale mate. Im sure you will get a fan to buy them.

Shane hasn't mentioned anything about these discus being a confirmed breeding pair.
I would expect to pay between $250-300ea for these fish.

thank you for your responses basically i paid $300 each AUS when they were a 50 cent piece size. They are not yet a breeding pair but have shown signs with other discus.ARGD albinos from what ive heard and seen are a rare form.I would be keen to hear from other ARGD owners how much they think there worth. thanks shane

5 cents size isnt that a little small,
Id wait till at least 50cent size before a purchase at that sort of money.
Although I woudnt pay that much at that small.....
