I'd say the same.. either a brown or rose red. He's got that red cover look happening.

Discus are discus... and there's loads of different varieties to choose from.
Rather than worrying about the type I would concentrate on health, size and the fishes personality.
Your brown/rose red looks pretty skinny and his eyes are huge so he's possibly stunted.
Just feed him up on a variety of foods and try to do as many water changes as possible.

no he is not stunted! he actually grows a lot from the first time i bought him!! from a smaller than quarter size to a poker chip size!!! and HE only eats LIVE WORMS!!!! yea... he's very picky!

PS. the blue one is STUNTED for reals! haha... coz' he stayed the same since i bought him! haha

Your fish is stunted Kikoman. Look at it's eyes. The main way of identifying a stunted fish is its eye size comparative to its body. Good food regime with clean fresh water will solve this issue from happening. Sorry to tell ya mate. :?

Yes city guy. The eye is too big for the body, There should be a minimum of 2-1/2 more eyes ontop of the existing eye till it hits the top of the head,In adult discus there shoould be a minimum eye count of 7 from the top of the stress bar that runs through the eye down to the botom of the stress bar some of the newer strains are a 9 count!
