Getting ready to set up planted 6ft discus tank. Don't have the tank yet, but have Eheim Pro II 2080 sitting ready & waiting.

Firstly, will the Eheim 2080 be sufficient to filter 72"long, 20" high & 19"deep? According to the specs it is sufficient, but wondered what the discus experts think.

So that it would already be cycled by the time I get the tank up & running, it's been running on my Apisto tank for several months now. I have another Pro II filter (smaller - 2060) that I will now start cycling to replace it with when the time comes to move the 2080 to the new discus tank.

Problem is the Apisto tank now contains 2 apistos being treated for worms. Treatment was/is Big L & Prazi - which I think I read doesn't kill off the good bacteria.

It will be another month or two before I can finalise my plans for the 6ft tank, but will this filter (from the worm treated apisto tank) be safe to put with my discus.

Thanks heaps in advance.
