Hi guys,

Well, I can't say I'm real impressed, but this is my first post in this section unfortunately!

Anyway, I looked at my smallest FOTU this morning and noticed 2 protruding white things towards her tail. I have done searches but am still unsure of what this is?

She is still eating well, and is not showing any adverse health effects. She seems just fine other than the fact that she has 2 white growths protruding near her tail.

Anybody know what this is? Is it serious?

I have a single display tank in the house and that is it - planted, community setup. So I am hoping I won't have to do anything too drastic treatment wise, as the other 3 discus and everybody else in the tank are all fine.

Any help appreciated!

Thanks.

if they are just raised white spots thay can be fatty deposits, what are you feeding the fish?

Yep they just look like raised white spots - they both stand about 1 or 2mm off the body.

I feed brine shrimp/spirulina mix in the mornings, flake in the afternoon and bloodworms at night. And just like typical discus they hoover it down!

i dont think its anything to worry about, maybe cut the feed back a little. fish looks fine, good color, nice health well displayed fins.
