Breeding Set Up

Hello there,

I have 2 pairs in my community tank that are regulary laying and fertalising eggs so am contemplating taking them out to see if they will breed.

I went down to one of my LFS's and the bloke who worked there has an old setup in his shed. He says it is two 2 foot tanks with stands, heaters, sponge filters, basically he believes the lot.

He is going to ask his dad how much he wants for them.

1. How much should I pay? / How much are they worth?
2. If he is claiming to have a complete set up what things are qhite oftern overlooked?

not really much to it, make sure the heaters work and get some white filter wool to cover up the black sponges, check for lids as well.

a few 2footer will cost you $40ish sponge filter $10ea and a small heater round $15 so all up donr pay more than $150-180 if its in REALLY good nic and you like the stand
