Actually a "Damselfly " nymph. They are more prone to climbing in and on plants and have a more elongate form than Dragonfly nymphs. That plant was likely from and exposed outdoor pond at some point which would explain the presence of the critter.

I Had a load of dragonfly nymphs in my tank when i was first setting it up.
I had finished cycling it and added plants (no discus at that stage, just neons) then i noticed them popping up all over the place.

So I decided to give the cardinals a few days in the puffer tank while my dwarf puffers took a hunting trip in the big tank.

I love watching my puffers hunt, they are tiny but as hard as nails :)

I wasnt sure if they presented a danger to fish or not? The LFS and books seemed to contradict each other.

Can anyone enlighten me on that?
