Hi everybody!

Just came across this forum while surfing and decided to join! Heres some pics of my new tank. Discus eventually, cycling with the rams. Driftwood going in and plastic coming out after the cycles done! Let me know what you think

The substrate looks like some kind of crushed limestone.

If it is, it may have a buffer effect to the pH/hardness and the discus may not like this in the long run.

Welcome to the forum, you're a brave one to cycle with rams, i've found them more touchy then discus.

yes rams are particularly sensitive of nitrogenous waste's

if you genuinely mean cycling with rams you are gong to have some trouble's

The cycles almost complete actually, and Ive not lost a fish. (knocks on wood)

Ph is at about 6.4, nitrites have been high for over a week now and everyones doing fine. Dont worry, not a noob 8-)
