I have a discuss I believa has tapeworms, it is swimming around with a 2" white gob of "pooh" hanging from it . My local fish store said it had to be tapeworms if it is hanging behind it . Does everyone agree. Or what else could it be? Anyway they gave me Fleubenol for food that I mix in with thawed bloodworms and refreeze and feed every other day. Anyone use this, they say it is best thing for tapeworms. Any opinions and is there anything in your opinions that work better.

Thanks,

in my opinion praziquantel is the best thing for tapeworms

a crude description of faeces can only give a crude diagnosis of tapeworm... faecal microscopy is the only way to be sure
unless you can actually see the large segments or segmented worm without magnification, you do need to look at the faeces though

When I bought the fish I quaranteened it for 6 weeks and 3 others and treated with The APT General fish cure which has metro and pranzi. I followed the directions to the letter. I guess it is possible it did not kill it though huh

no segments no tapeworm, no matter where its hanging from.
