Roo meat?

Speaking with a guy in a pet shop today and got on the topic of beef heart, he sugested roo meat instead as it wasn't as fatty and high in protein. Is Roo meat suitable substitute for beef heart??

its true it is high in protein and has less fat but i dont know if it would work ,it is a bit stringey , i think you should give it a go and let us know . oh yeah it cost a heap too if you get food grade roo meat .

i had long phone calls with nutritionists who breed discus as well,because i thought the steaks are cheap in au and when its good for me......
they told me to stay away from it, heart is the only thing you should use.
maybe roo heart is the way to go.

Thanks for the replies Guys,, now I have found Beef Heart think I will stick with it Scott but will always be willing to hear others views on alternatives.
