Stunted discus can still breed?

I have 6 discus around 1yr old and i know that soon they will reach sexual maturity and might start aying eggs in the tank, but the problem is that i think that theyre stunted. Can stunted discus still breed AND be successfull? My leopard snakeskins costed me a fortune and the only reason i bought them was to breed and make the money back.. but im in doubt that they can even spawn... Help me out here!

stunted fish can and do still breed, but in my experiance they lay less eggs, and raise smaller broods (the most i got out of a stunted pair was around the 100-120 egg mark).

I dont like your chances of getting your money back from breeding discus, these fry cost more to raise then you can sell them for them (just ask my wife LOL)
