Which is the better for a fish stocked tank going through a cycle that has ammonia present or should I just stick with the water changes? Ammonia is reading around 1.. Yes I am one of those misinformed dopes, I have already been shot on here for the uncycled tank

Don't let it worry you Tracey. Most of us could write a book on all the stupid things we've done

We share our stories, learn by our mistakes, and move on :D

You will still see an ammonia reading in your tests, but Prime will make it non toxic to your fish.

I have done my daily testing today and the ammonia is 0 but the nitrites are through the roof  I did a 30% water change yesterday, should I do another water change today and add Prime?? Anything else I should do? thanks..

Sorry.. should I do another water change? I have not used Prime as yet as I could not get it from anywhere near me so I ordered it off the internet and it is arriving today.. 3 x dose? As in 3 times daily or triple the dose? Sorry for sounding :? just want to rectify the situation!

keep up the water changes, they are what are helping your fish recover. when you get the prime use it a 3x dose, that is 15ml/200L total tank volume.

you should also add salt to your water, 1 table spoon/gal (1 table spoon/4L) this will prevent brown blood disease caused by high NO2.

add the salt gradually, 1 tsp/gal every 2 hours or so. if your aging your water add the salt to that and the concentration will increase with water changes.
