All my discus are german stenkers and although i have loads of photos of my own stock, i do not have any photos of my colbots so have put stenkers link on as they have some stunning stock photos.

BarryN, that looks like a blue diamond to me, not a cobalt.

He's a cobalt...got him in a breeding tank with a blue diamond at the moment. They are poles apart. The cobalt colouration is completely different (orignal photo did not show the red in the fins at all...), stress bars now look superb. He's bust fertilising eggs as we speak.

when a discus has the shape of a diamond it needs to be culled!

lol I had a blonde moment. Gotta remember to stay away from the forums on the drink... hahahahaha.

Blue diamonds are essentially cobalts without the stress bars. The original cobalts are solid blue, looking pretty much like a blue diamond.

Haha.
Nice fish Barry, upon closer look I see it has at least one stress bar I can see. Nicest fish of the lot on this thread for sure. Good luck with the breeding.

Hey Citiguy, what strains of discus do you keep? What are the price like in India? I know for fact that our discus cost so much more compare to US. Cheers.

Hi, I have these, leapords, and no, Discus are not so expensive in India, because Thailand and Malaysia are very close by, and the fishes comes from there.. mostly 8-)
