artificial rock background ??

Ok guys

Give me the scoop , how do you make the artificial rock walls for the back of the tank or are they a commercial product ? I have looked at some of the pictures of members tanks and they look great for a display tank.
I have a 6x2x2 that i am setting up and would like that look on the back.

Using a stanley knife cut it to the exact size of your tank. You'll know once its the right size because it will sit flush inside your tank.

Visiting your local hardware store purchase some aquarium silicone glue and use this to attach it to the back of your aquarium. Its pretty cheap stuff but MAKE SURE IT CAN BE USED ON AQUARIUMS's.

Then give it a few days to dry. This also lets all the vapours disappear.

Mine is a rubber material, but others can be made from hard plastic or foam.
Have alook at this thread which Mr.Discus has recently posted. Same idea really....;)

My background panel is actually made of foam - not rubber.

It was imported from the USA, by I guy that I met who was selling a couple on Ebay.

The company that makes them actaully won best new product at the international aquarium show that is in the USA (whatever the show is called - I can't remember at the moment).

The one that I have is hard to get here in Oz, and is incredibly real looking. Cost more than my tank did though, which says something about the quality of the product!

I have just returned my juwel background.~300.00..looked great for 3-4 months then started to break down....the surface started to come off and expose the black foam...
