Echinodorus barthii flower stalk

Hey

I chucked my Echinodorus barthii in the pond because it grew too big for my tank. Few days in the pond and a flower stalk started to form :)

its the sunlight, plus the change in water temp.
nice work you should get 10-12 plants off it.
very healthy plant!

There's nothing quite like full spectrum sunlight!

just remember to move it back ion before winter, perth is a similar lattitude to sydney and sydney winter wiped out my entire outdoor sword setup.

I've noticed the flowers don't last long.
Only seem to last a day

I noticed that myself, i believe its to stop self polination, I've never been able to get seeds out of any of my echs.
