All of my fish are from german breeders, we get some good discus here in Europe. Considered to be one of the top european breeders is a guy named Stendker. Give him a google for more info. 3 of my fish are from him.

Clinny_d I was sold that discus as a blue diamond, but when under light he has a blue / pink color to him. Lets hope a couple forms sometime soon... I think its time i gave fry's a try out :wink:

I think my favourites are the pearl pigeon and the fish in the top pic which I would call an alenquer.

What variety was he sold to you as. Beautiful fish :P

The first fish is a Alenquer male, and the one directly below it is a female Santarem. Bought them that way in the hope that they pair up... The breeder is one of the top european breeders known as stendker.

Now as for my pigeon pearl, are you reffering to the one on my avatar??
If yes, unfortunately he is a little ill at the momment and decided to go on a hunger strike. Had a p.h crash due to a nitrate spike, and he ufortuantely lived in a p.h of 4 for a while. Damn liquid p.h test would show me that I had 6,6 and instead it was 4!

Moved him to my hospital tank, uoed the temp to 33c and have him under daily water changes. Unfortunately his appetite isn't back yet, but he pecks at the floor from time to time... but totally misses the food!

Any advice guys?

stendker is not bad but i wouldnt call him top of german breeders,maybe top 25,hes just big and as we all know qantity everytime cost qaulity

You could be right, but so far, all the juvies I have brought from him have turned out brilliant.... I think its time I got into breeding and earned my spot in the top 25 of europe 8-) Top Greek discus breeder!
