Hi all new to this forum and discus. Before I buy some discus I have a
question about keeping mystery snails in a soft water environment.I have six to keep my algea at bay but will the soft water cause damage
to their shell as they need calcium for shell growth!Or should I remove them altogether.

snails never do well in my tank with a ph of 5, they survive but never really take off (kind of a good thing) at 6.5 I dont have any problems with snails flourishing  .

I have mystery snails happily living and breeding at 5.4.

They grow huge, and clean up all the excess fishfood. (Yes, I'm guilty of overfeeding ............................................ . a lot)
