Well, taksan -
If you want to breed up some fish and call them Puto Tigers, you just knock yourself out !
I just go by the name of the Breeder, you can check it out for yourself if you like -
http://www.utahdiscus.com
Don't all breeders come up with some new name for their fish ?
I've heard some pretty strange ones !!!!
I think those are all pretty much just plain Leopards though, like most are -
But he can call em' what ever he wants, as far as I'm concerned !

Well, thanks everyone -
I'm enjoying them. And so far they seem o.k. The Pigeons are fairly new. And did come out of a bare tank. I do expect to see some peppering come about eventually in a planted tank. If there is a way to keep it under control, I'd love to know your secrets !
You guy's have beautiful fish too, I've been checking them out ! And this seems like a great forum, you obviously know your fish.
I have many Australian friends, but please understand I'm new to this, and you've gotta cut me some Australian slack here !!! Give me time - I'm learning, every body's gotta start somewhere !
SO............... What do you guy's call these fish ??????????

Taksan -
You must obviously be a "Wild" keeper ?
Yeah, they are looking pretty domestic to me too, I know NOTHING about wilds !
Thanks again for the compliments though guy's, I hope to see them grow and do well.............

Our friend taksan is definately a wild enthusiast, in fact, you could say he's a pretty wild man

Don't worry BSW, you'll get used to our Aussie sense of humour

Your fish are lovely, no matter what they're called :P

I'm not offended in anyway, I think you guy's are great ! I've really enjoyed the short time I've been here, I'm planning on staying, and learned a ton of stuff. I'm a moderator on an Angelfish forum (I also keep Angelfish) I know how easy it is to have a wry answer to a dumb question or remark !!!! Believe me I've seen myself do it. Sometimes that's the best way to learn !!! I'll get smarter in time -

One more question though, if ya don't mind -
O.K. the Leopards are just Leopards -
The Pigeons are just Pigeons (which ARE starting to pepper up in the planted tank, but that's O.K., they are just pets) -

But there is one other called (by the Breeder) a Violet Reflection ?
Sounds like another (weird) name to me !
What is it ? A spin off of the Turquoise ? Or something else ? It IS Violet colored ? Looks totaly different than the others ? What do you all call it ?
(and I know Taksan ! DOMESTIC !! :D ) But domestic what ?

Thanks Illusn -
Blue Turk it is then !

The Lilly is a Dwarf Aquarium Lily (Nymphaea stellata)
They grow from bulbs, and are about the easiest thing I've ever grown ! Very soft, colorful leaves, really fill up a tank fast.
Cheep too.
