That tank and the fish are a credit to you and your hard work.

That's the best looking amazon biotope I have ever seen.

Congratulations.

Jeroen, can you tell us a bit about the background in your tank. Is it inside or outside the tank, or a combination of both? It looks wonderful with all that driftwood.

Hello Sorry for the late respons to your messages, I have been busy for a while

@Merylin
Thank you, 10 months of work, but it was word ;-)

@JamezMan
Yup man, I love them to...
Lightspectrum is pretty good, didn't expect it to be so beautifull
in reall the light is just a little TO white...at this moment there is 2x 150watt hqi 10.000 kelvin, I try to find 8500 kelvin...just a little warmer and little less blue (makes to hard) that would be perfect

@Rollofhill
I used other tanks for inspiration, it's nice inspirate each other ;-)

@Mattzilla
Youre welcome...same goes from me to other, their pictures inspired me

@Fish_r
Look at other tanks, when you see one you like, try to find out WHY you like it...did they use some special would, it is the fish, zand or maybe the selected plants...that way you will also create your dreamtank

@Scott
Thanks scott...now let me choose some of your finest discus and we have a mega setup ;-) (I know you have some nice ones overthere ;-)

Anf
Thank you

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder LOL

This is one seriously awsome tank. Although it was beautiful, even before the addition of plants, the plants add so much more to it's beauty IMO. But then, I am always biased towards a planted tank. I'd be keeping the plants, if I were you.

Now, if the wilds had only been in the shot, it would have been perfect.

How did you make the background.

:shock: Wow beautiful. I to like it better without the plants.

Absolutly beautiful !!!
Makes me want to completely tear my tank down and start all over.
This is one of the nicest tanks I think I've ever see for Discus. I like it planted and un-planted, either way.

Was not sure to plant it or not, cause I can order my plants at the wholesale I got carried away a little bit ;-)

The white discus is out, and for now just the other 6 left, want some more but they have to be same size as the other and also match in color.

The angels are indeed redback/red shoulders
I had 8 of them but after a mistake I lost 5 of them, I have 3 left and I prey each and every day there will come a pair from those

They are F1 and breeded in holland, I have seen the parents....WOW
real nice

this tank is simply beautiful :)

how much litres does have this tank and what is glass thickness?

Jeroen
Fri Oct 12, 2007, 11:08 PM
The tank is 300*70*70, it's filled up to 65 height, so that makes 300x70x65 = 1365 liters, furthers I use a 200*50*50 filter system with about 350 liters.

Together 1715 liters

Damn that's a sweet tank. :shock:

Jeroen
Sat Oct 13, 2007, 07:40 PM
I'm not complaning ;-)

A guy I know is building a 250*125*100 wooden tank (just the front screen is glass) much cheaper and isolates really good.

I am extremely jealous of your set up. To me, its the perfect look (although would have used a smaller amount of plants to keep the rugged look rather then the more lush look). I absolutely love it. If you have a high resolution photo, would you mind email it to me so i can use it as a desk top on the Mac? Thanks for the inspiration. :wave2
