Hi guys,

I know my discus can get a bleeding nose from running into the glass or a bacterial infection.. But the thing is, is that he's still eating. Do discus normally eat if they're particularly distressed or have an infection? I recently had very high nitrate which is now under cotrol. Apart from being in bad water they also had to undergo seveal water changes just days after being put in. I don't doubt they're stressed :( Any ideas as to whats causing the "bleeding nose" and what i should do?
Thanks
Chloe x

One of my RGD's has had a bleeding nose throughout metro, myaxin, protozin, prazi, levi and octozin treatments (bout the last 3 months give or take a week or so) still eats like a pig and is still growing at a great rate, whatever bacterial infection causing it doesn't seem to bother the fish or its appitite.

if the fish is still eating and socialising properly dont worry about it it'll proably sort it'self out in time.
