Hi guys, please help with the identification of my discus. I just bought them but they weren't titled. Also, I'm not done with the aquascape so i'm up for suggestions on what background would look good. I already have fixtures i want to buy, so don't worry about the lighting. The blue discus' i bought for 20 bucks each and the larger orange one (i think it's a pigeon blood) i got for 12 bucks and the 2 small ones (leopard spot and pigeon blood) i got for free.

nice fish and tank you got there...
it's very cheap for Torquoise and pigeon blood..maybe US is cheaper than AUS..

I can not see any red spot for your red leopard spot..it seems like normall red torq to me...but still nice fish anyway...

How many filters you have??....seems to me you have 2 hand on filters...canister filter (or under gravel filter?) and a sponge filter.....too much water flow (especially from the 2 hand on filters).....discus does not like too much water flow... if your discus does not mind about it..then pls just ignore me.. :-)

Very nice fish you picked up at a steal :) I like your larger pigeon blood (a marlboro maybe?) it looks quite clean... They all have good shape too..

They seem to look very happy in your tank :)

Welcome to the forums.

The 2 H.O.B. filters would be AC300's if my measuements are correct (photos can be decieving). The way the water flows off the AquaClears, it wont worry the Discus too much, I have an AC500 on one of my tanks for extra filtration, and the Discus love it...

Also it would appear that there is a canister hooked up along with a sponge filter... very nice  (note: the way in which the canisters return is facing, directed at the glass to diffuse the flow... )

Overall.... Awesum set-up

Great tank, i would say that this a leopard spotted SS more like a turq. Still nice fish. Also in the first pic the little guy at the top looks a bit stunted but thats ok everyone needs a runt..

Great work love the little arch way made with the driftwood.

What size tank is that 6x2x2 ? I went 4x2x2 , in hindsight, a 6x2x2 would have been better ... your tank looks bigger than mine hence the question.... actually it looks longer but not higher ... can't work out the dimensions from the picture, does not look in proportion ...

You are right on the dot! Running an Xp3, 2 AC300's and a small sponge. Very nice observation of the return facing the wall to diffuse the flow...I use to have a flowerhorn in there that loved the flow, but i noticed that when I put the discus in there they started getting blown away..(really quite funny to watch). As for as the HOBS, the flow is destroyed more or less by the NAN light hanging inside, or the driftwood.

As far as the tank..i remember it being 16'' high x 18'' x 62''
