Went down to visit Merrilyn and Ben and took a few shots of her wilds as well as those DAMM Altums and a interesting cabinet ( :?: )

Saw Ben's ridiculous Zoo .....

And of course our Merrilyn is famous for being one of only a couple of people in thw world who have bred the wild Betta Macrostomas

Our friend Ben's house looks like a zoo ....

I saw this little cute fellow (one of many ...TOO MANY)

More of them .....

of course there is more ...like "Olive" the snake

And these incredibly cute little native rodents the "Dunarts" or whatever they are called.

You might not realise it but he DOES still keep a few fish ......

And here is our friend the crazy Zookeeper ...posing in front of one of his 6 foot tanks with the new Eheim 2180 Professional 3 Thermofilter installed

I'm keeping them in this 2 meter x70cm x70cm Akva Stabil tank with 2 Eheim Pro3 filters.

Great pics Matty!

The best invention to mankind other than the rotary motor is the 2180 pro 3 with in-built heater!

If only I could find someone with Kowari's! They are next for my menagerie.

Love the wilds! especially the one in the last pic.

something doesn't look right with that Akva Stabil setup the wilds have gone in.... looks like somethings missing :ug

Can't quite figure out what it is.....

 I know what it is, it should be at my place!

Do you mind if I ask how much the tank was worth?

I agree with the Merrilyn & Dee, it's a keeper. It may have a dodgy hood but at least it's not a standard boring pine unit.

If you are serious about getting rid of it though send me a pm

Davo, it's a Red Spotted Green. Symphysodon aequifasciata aequifasciata discovered in 1903. Depending on which river they are caught in, they can have a medium amount of spotting, as in the picture, or spots covering almost the entire body.

That's a particularly nice specimen with a red eye. Eye colour in the wilds can be anything from golden to red.
