New Tank

i just switched my discus from a 29 gallon to a 46 bow..well i used all the water from my 29 gallon and was planning to go buy the rest. well the petstore i get it from was closed and the filters wouldnt run with only 29 gallons of water so i had to use my Extremely Hard san antonio water which made my tank go from a strick supers low hardness R.O. water tank to a hard water tank in 2 minutes. well my discus are fine for now but i was wondering how long it takes sand to settle or is it always going to look alittle blurry in a bow front?

It depends on how well you rinsed the sand. I'd say it will stay cloudy for anywhere from 24-48 hours. This all depends on your filtration system though and whether or not you have activated carbon in your filter line-up.

A strong canister filter with activated carbon is going to give you a clear tank in a matter of hours!
