Hi there, I have a pair of white butterflys that I have had a few months now. They have spawned twice now, each time was when I was really busy and slacking on water changes. Both times they spawned on the days I was going to clean the tanks, because in my mind, I cant put it off any longer (a week max). The strange thing is that after sitting for about a week the ph in my water raises to about 8.0 but they seem to love it, I mean, they wouldnt be spawning unless they were happy with the water right? Also, if they dont eat them this time, when should I clean the tank? Should I just clean the far end of the tank tomorrow or something? Thanks
ETA I am not trying to breed them right now, but if they want to, I am not going to stop them. I am just not set up for a bunch of fish right now, so I am secretly hoping they do eat them lol.
