I guess this happens when a boy and girl discus are put in the same tank.

Quite unexpectedly, two of my discus stopped bickering with each other and started acting very strangely. Just this evening, I've noticed what must be eggs on the stem of my marble queen plant.

Knowing nothing about breeding, and not really having the luxury of extra tanks, etc, I'll take this day by day. So my main question: what is the likelihood these eggs will even hatch and survive?

The discus are kept with 3 other discus; a handful of Lemon & Rummynose Tetras; a butterfly ram; two yo-yo loaches, and a peppermint bristlenose.

If there is a strong likelihood of survival, what will I need to do to best help my proud new parents?

Thanks all.

Time answered my quetion. All eggs were gone within 24 hours.

Nice to see them breed, my kids certainly got a bit of an education on fish reproduction. I'd prepared them for the worst, though.
