Hey team,

I wanted to warn those who already use or are considering using Seachem's Flourish Iron with their planted tanks. Just be aware that if your tank has a high pH / hardness level that adding Flourish Iron will give you an instant cloudy tank! In such conditions the iron formula precipitates into the water as a very milky haze - which makes the tank look, well, you know the word for it.

After some research on the Internet I believe the plants are now also unable to use the iron once it has precipitated, except from absorbtion into their roots, which will be minimal at best as most of the iron is now suspended in the water column. I'm now aiming to get my tank back to crystal clear status but I think its going to take quite some time :(

Note the problem does NOT occur with the regular Seachem Flourish.

Regards,

Greggy
