Hi guys just a question about metro. as i have read in this forum im told to turn of the lights (dumb question) is that the light above the tank in ? or the whole room .As you can tell i have never used this gear before and need to get it right.I might add i had no problem getting this stuff in Adelaide and it was very cheap $48 for 50x200mg tabs any other hints you can give me would be great .i have got some live black worms to soak in metro then feed the fish.

hi cliff, i turn off the lights and keep the curtains closed, i believe sunlight is far more damaging to metro then flouro light.

i would'nt feed live blackworms. treat at 500mg / 40 litres. the best method would be to feed at about 1.5gm in 100 gms of beefheart.
what is wrong with the fish ? if they are still eating give them metro in beefheart. whatever you do, don't underdose.
If you lower the ph to around 5 and keep it there for 2-3 weeks, your fish will get better without the metro.

i find lower the phwhile treating with metro also improves the recovery time, i only lower mine to 6.6-.68 (from 7.3) by filtreing through miricle leaf and or peat (depneding how far off the water aging 2217 is from cleaning)

miracle leaf or peat is okay for a small tank, try aquamaster pond ph down if, like me, you have tanks, that seem to multiply on their own. its phosphoric acid.
