I've found the FX5 for $380 + shipping.

Can anyone advise if they have seen it cheaper ?

I'm located in melbourne.

i've seen something like $349 before but it's just not always there..!

yeh, can't be assed bidding on them. the buy now price is 380, so if someone can match it, I'll buy it from them.

coz last time i've seen a seller sell at $249 for buy it now and that was about 3 months ago...
so maybe if u can wait, there might be another chance lol..!!

they are very pricey but for some reason the fluvols sell cheap on occasioins

They used to be cheap, prior to 2-3 price increases by the supplier, add to that the many problems with the earlier models, and a recall... I will let that speak for itself.

The most recent FX5 model is meant to be good, but it is getting close to the same price as an Eheim Pro III 2080... If you do find one cheap, make sure it isnt one of the older ones (with the controller chip problem).

Like anything, do some research and you should do fine, dont think by getting one cheap will mean you have saved some cash...
