Q1 Does anyone have any hints or tips about identifying when a tank is about to leak?
Q2 Or does anyone have any ideas to share on a preventative maintenance schedule?

I just purchased a second hand 4ft tank. Everything was absolutely fine for 3 weeks then it sprung a leak. I can't tell whether it was the result of a repair job or not, but it would have been good to be able to diagnose the fault before getting woken because there was water pouring down the corridor.

The potential impact of a leaking tank should be font of mind for all of us!!!! Not only for the furniture and our households but what about contingencies for transferring occupants in an emergency? if you have only one tank have you thought what you'd do?

Q1: When you see water on the floor :P

Q2: Get the tank reaseled (Properly) by a profssional tank builder, better to be safe than sorry.
