After a long break and now the F1 are reasonable matured (plus getting around to free up a tank), on pair has been tossed into the spare tank for a week and today the egg has hatched (spawned last Thursday).

Very small numbers - around 20 of them is my best guess (remembered there are more eggs in the cave - probably the male didn't do a good enough job at it).

Here's the pic of the male and new mum (just missed mothers day :? ).

The fry are doing well, so far so good. As usual - very slow growth rate.

Based on the date of this thread, they're now 1 month old.

On Monday I noticed mum has kept herself back in the cave again, while all the kids are no longer hanging around at the bottom of the tank - this means problem, she's spawned....

I managed to locate whatever is left (17 of them were siphon out) and today she has hatched the second batch :wink:

This photo is the best I can get it - for now.
